Designing our day often revolves around a group of tasks or a large project. Some people naturally design the day, they see all the options, gather all the information, come up with a plan and engage the right people. For others they start with the discussion, gather information, make a plan and then think about other options. Our thinking preferences impact on everything we do. What's important is not the order of thinking, its that we use all of our thinking. We need to consider the what, how, who and why. Think about this:
What are my goals for today?
How will I prioritise?
Who will I need to engage?
Are my actions in line with the outcome I want? What are my options?
Designing our day using our thinking preferences helps to ensure we make the right decisions, with the right information, engaging the right people with the right outcome. Are your people using all of their thinking when executing on tasks and ideas?
